Alastor is remarkably intelligent, sporting an IQ level of 155. This makes him somewhat arrogant and condescending towards other people and he is always trying to do things his way, thinking he's always right though he usually is. However Alastor can acknowledge that intellect can't solve every situation and that he needs others' help. After he gets to know people better, he'll tend to act nicer to them and his friends will find that he enjoys when he can help others using his mind. Alastor likes infuriating his enemies by outwitting them, especially when they lose most of their focus and are easy to bring down. He has a mind for strategy, having studied it on his own quite a bit, and even if people don't like him, they will acknowledge that he's a valuable asset. Alastor also constantly wears a gold watch his mother got him when he entered middle school academy and treasures it greatly.
Alastor was born in Seattle after his mother had a one-night stand with Fujin. As he grew older, he quickly demonstrated his exceptional level of intellect and attended prestigious academies. Alastor excelled in the normal subjects he had to learn, but he found himself drawn to other subjects, namely Japanese mythology and battle strategy. But as he grew older, he started to notice the world of Japanese myth, which disturbed Alastor greatly since he couldn't find a normal explanation for the things he was seeing. Finally he was forced to accept the truth when he was attacked at his school by a basan, a fire-breathing chicken monster. Alastor finally manged to kill it by forcing it into his school's swimming pool and drowning it, making use of his powers as a child of Fujin for the first time. Fujin then came for him, bringing him to Camp Izanagi and giving him a pair of magical kusara kamas.
